Recruited NFL football players, run the football AND thrown the football. Turned D over to competent DC. Next question?
I give up on 'em Gah. If they want Kiffin, that's cool but acting like he's going to do something Gundy isn't is ridiculous. He had amazing talent when he drove by for a minute last time and managed to go 7-5 and got rolled by Beamer in the Peach yet folks seem to think he'll do better with way less talent? Oi vey...
Amazing talent are you [ucking fay]--- kidding me? He turned Crompton ( who couldn't hit a brick wall 3 feet in front of him into a serviceable qb and draft pick).
I'm being completely objective here, if push comes to shove I would put aside my disdain for him but I would rather have Gundy, he has a better resume and he didn't help put us in this mess, as Kiffin did.
I'm not saying that Gundy is the god damn savior of UT football but he is far better than some here are giving him credit for. Especially when those folks are schilling for Kiffin.
Yeah, that wasn't the most talented team. Would have been interesting to see what he could have done had he not walked out.
Amazing talent? He had two walk-on offensive linemen that were starting that wouldn't have started at half the high schools in Knoxville, a RB with knees made of jelly, a guy that was probably the worst QB to wear orange going into the season, and average talent on D outside of Williams/Berry/McCoy. He held his own against our two biggest rivals while severely outmatched, kicked the shit out of UGA, and beat a ranked South Carolina team.
