It won't be much consolation, but I hope someone gives the kid a contract like we have seen in some other, similar situations.
It's terrible. The soundbite I heard where he was talking about replaying the dream of hearing his name called in the draft damn near made me tear up. I hope this kid can find something he loves to do that revolves around the game and within his physical abilities.
That's what I was thinking. I can't imagine the NBA physical being that much more thorough than what he was given at Baylor.
While it sucks for him overcoming what he did and not getting to live out the dream, he did have a million dollar insurance policy, which is a hell of a lot more money than I'll ever see at one time.
