once the level of speculation over his job security gets this high and this blatant?
Gruden. This time it's for real.
I don't see how Dooley will be able to make staff changes now with this kind of heat.
Dooley says we have finally hit the bottom, and thats a good thing. Better days ahead.
I feel we've been bouncing off the bottom like a deep-sea jig for years now.
Has me feelin' optimistic. Just need to dust our britches off.
No BS here... a text I just received from a player I know on the team...
In response to: Do you think Dooley is safe this year?
Name of the player or Im calling BS.
Ask more players until one tells you that Dooley is definitely out asap.
Dooley is done...he has to be...I cannot accept the 5 million check is in the way...if Wilcox is gone recruits will start leaving him...we need to act fast...I am totally freaking out...I am going to go hide on my xbox...
Haha. I only know the one guy.
Wilcox definitely isn't gone at the moment.
I know recruiting is one reason folks want to retain Dooley, but I can't help but think all this uncertainty is going to lead to a post-2005 type of class.
How long do you think it will be before we know how this shakes out?
A week or more?
I dunno. But I do know that the Wilcox stuff is definitely not true. Not saying it won't happen, but it hasn't right now. I don't even know if Petersen is really going to be the coach at UCLA. That would be a real headscratcher considering some of the other gigs he's declined.
Peterson and Wilcox are Cali boys IIRC...
Wilcox, Sirmon and Baggett are the only coaches doing any work recruiting wise.
I thought Wilcox was a born and bred Oregonian
