Hypothetical Haslam Scenario

Suppose Nick Saban came to Tennessee a few weeks ago and said he wanted a change of scenery. He’s willing to come here for the exact same contract he has at Bama. Same money. Same level of control. Do the Haslams pledge big donations? Or do they scramble to block the hire?

Nope. Wasn't their idea and no way are they giving up control. Control and power means more to them than money and success on the football field.
