I'm For Tennessee

If there's a time to set everything aside, and to be singularly-focused on winning a single game, it's Bama week.

Beating Bama is preeminent. Everything else is not only secondary, but comparitively unimportant.

Everything.

And I'm for whatever SOB is wearing the Orange and popping that Power T.

Jumper. Jancek. Azzani. Mahoney. Hart. Cheek.

And I'm most especially Butch Jones, as we'll only go as far as he guides us, or better, has the good sense to let go.

Insofar as how they arrived or whether they remain, in the words of John Ward - "Matters little".

From kickoff until the final horn, they're here, and are mine. And they're yours, too.

I want and expect to beat Bama.

Period.

And I'll worry about anything and everything later, whatever it means, or to whom.

But I'll never pass up a chance to beat the shit out of Alabama.

I don't know about the rest of you mf'ers, but I'm for Tennessee.

This is the only game this year where I could truly cherish a win, as opposed to just being pissed that other wins just help Butch stay here.

Against Bama I cheer for a win. Even if it gets Botch a lifetime contract.

 

Can you imagine what the hype for this game would have been, if we hadn't ****ed up against Florida, Oklahoma and Arkansas.

 

This is the least excited I've been for an Alabama game that I can ever remember.

 

Probably would've been the biggest UT football game since the '01 SEC title game, Volguy.

 

Really? 2011 was a much worse team, and IIRC we were just coming off a drubbing by Arkansas.

 

I still cared more. Butch has drained every last ounce of orange tinted famdom I have.

 

That's good preachin' right there Brother D... I hate it Botch is our coach and I hate it Tennessee has been at best a mediocre program for over a decade but dernit this is Alabama week. These guys deserve (and will get) my full, 100% unadulterated, absolute support these next few hours and if a win means we're stuck with this staff for the foreseeable future thenby God and General Neyland. let it happen.

 

Season is officially over for me, could care less about the outcome of upcoming games.

I hate watching a game and knowing that we're going to **** it up.

 

It is curious how Tennessee's schedule is always so front-loaded with meaningful games. I guess it is a blessing in disguise.

 

It's a curse when you want your coach fired.
