    He was ridiculously good in high school. He pretty much went head to head with Hurd and beat him on just about every snap while he was on defense.

    JRM is the embodiment of a 1990's-style LB at UT. I don't think he's in the same league but...his game often evokes memories of one of my all-time favorite linebackers ever...Raynoch Thompson.

    Ran something like a 4.4 or 4.3, IIRC.

    Him and Al in the same LB corps was almost unfair.

    He was also a certifiable lunatic that had no regards for his or anyone else's well being. That's a very good trait for a linebacker

    My favorite raynoch moment was when he took out an entire pile about 3 seconds after the whistle blew in Athens in 98.

    About my favorite moment of the Fiesta Bowl was his double fist pump. It was the point where we went up 14-0 and then got another stop I think. He could smell it.
