In the words of Kesling, He’s tucking ferrible. Believe past game he said Rico handed off to Ralph Sampson

Right they just want him to be more exciting/excited and have memorable phrases, which would be great, but it's not why he should be fired and should never have been given the job.

Just have an AI John Ward voice calling the game. We have the technology. We can make him better than Kesling ever was. Faster, smarter, more enunciative.

Lol those people have never had to rely on him to be their single source of play by play information. I've listened to games in the past where there would be a turnover or change in possession and Bob would somehow have found a way to not mention it at all.

When I was in high school and before every basketball game was televised, my friend and I would sit and listen to the games and keep a tally so we would know the score because he would go so long between saying the score.

I don’t care that he doesn’t lose his mind calling games like Mike Keith. Ward didn’t either.

But I could listen to a Ward call and picture in my mind exactly what’s happening on the field perfectly.

I can’t do that with Bob. (Not in football anyway. He is better at basketball imo)

The amazing thing about John Ward is that he was also better at basketball

I've had to listen to a couple games the last few years and I can never tell what's happening.

I grew up listening to Vol football and basketball on the radio. Before televised Vols was a thing. John Ward was very good at what he did. Extremely good. He even made a solid transition to televised games. Kesling is not good, relative to televised football and most definitely not good on the radio especially when you can't see what is happening.

Smart. Much better than, "What the hell is the score!?"
