Iowa controls it's own destiny going into championship week. They have nothing to be ashamed of and will not have anything to complain about if they lose. I'd love to be in their shoes. No pressure. At worst they had a favorable schedule and good season, or they get to prove the world wrong and make the playoffs.

 

And Lyle still didn't sniff the SEC championship game. I hear next year is our year.

 

We might be. Seriously.

I'll come out and say it. We stomp Iowa if we play them in a bowl game this year.

So Butch has said all along that next year would be our year. How long before the excuses start that now it will not be?

 

He already has with his 6-7 year remark.

At this point I am thinking Butch is here six years. Next year is his best year. Year five is a massive disappointment, but he gets year six to "right the ship" even though he never really got us to where we were suppose to be. He fails and is canned. New coach in 2019. Hope Butch can continue to recruit well for that long.

 

I know I will not make it that long.

 

Thats the problem right there. The more he is exposed the worse recruiting gets. Then we are right back to where we were in 2013. You have to pull the trigger before recruiting goes south.

 

This will be a solid NSD. I'll be interested to see how the '17 class looks by next fall.

 

we had to improve from garbage. We still coach worse with better talent.

 

if it was meaningful, we'd lose. If it was the Poulan leaf blower extravaganza, we might win by 30.

 

According to toos wisdom injuries and off the field issues should be a worry next. Only thing hold Lyle back from greatness.

 

At the moment its not looking great. IMO 2016 class.

Richt getting canned may help us some.

I like where we're at. It won't be elite though.

 

It all depends on who they get.

UTs class will get better, how much depends on how many upgrades he makes over current commits. If that doesnt happen they will be outside the top 10.
