Tenacious D The law is of supreme importance, or no importance

The Houston Astros were stealing signs and relaying it to the batter in real-time, so as to give the batters a significant advantage.

Is that the gist of it?

Baseball investigated and punished everyone involved, but now some say that they didn’t go far enough.

    Did they?

They should be stripped of any titles, rings, stats, etc imo. Any player who benefitted.
"I'm sorry. Ready to move on". Well no shit you want to move on

So, took some draft picks and suspended a manager and a front office guy, and who were subsequently fired? For three years of cheating - and one of which where they won the World Series?

    That’s it?

That sounds ridiculous to me, on its face.

Didn’t punish a single player? That can’t be true.

Could be wrong but I dont think there has been a single fine, suspension or any punishment.
I doubt other teams players are happy about it either. They got cheated

Players were given immunity to tell all.

I'd like to have seen the team get shut down for a season and be replaced by a squad of veterans and AAAA guys pulled out of FA.

But they’re the ones who were both most directly responsible and greatly benefited from the cheating.

    I honestly don’t get it.

Just read where Trout is calling them out. Good to see someone step up.

I'm just ready for the season to start so we can watch the Astros players that benefitted from this start taking fastballs to the dome.

Apparently the nationals got wise to it and their comeback in the world series was partly due to game planning to use the sign stealing against the Astros. tifwiw, talk radio rumors

When you figure it out let me know because I'm right there with you.

Mike Trout speaking out is going to get some stuff done. There isn't a more respected player in the game than him... and he also just happens to be the very best player in the game today by a wide margin.

I don’t ever condone throwing at somebody’s head, but it is a bit absurd that a pitcher plunking an Astro’s player will get a longer suspension than an Astro’s player will get for knowingly cheating the game.

I don't condone it, but can't say I'll be upset when it happens.
