Got to watch the Yanks beat up the Braves on the 4th.

Playing .641 ball and 5.5 games out of first? Ouch

The Red Sox (.688) and Yankees (.645) each have winning percentages of .640 or higher entering August. This is the first time in the Divisional Era (since 1969) that 2 teams in the same division have had .640 or higher winning percentages entering August (via @EliasSports)

I guess this is what makes the wildcard teams worthwhile. Doesn't punish you for being in the same division as a team that is just slightly better than you overall but you are miles ahead of the winners of the other division(s).

I'm a fan of no divisions and taking the top 4 from each side, since they are hell bent on playoffs.

Good grief, playing .620 ball and 10.5 games back?

    That is stupid.

Division lead down to six games. Getting a little antsy.

Yanks have tied the Mariners for most HRs in a single season. 2 games to go

Mo becomes the first unanimous HOF'er.

Moose gets in as well. Deservingly so

The jackwad that didn't vote for Maddux must have died.

    About time.

Fred McGriff misses out again because of the 94/95 strike.
