Maybe not, but I think adding Tee and losing Kelly is a win for the good guys.

But that won’t be the exchange. Kelly may go but he’ll have to be replaced. I assume Johnson will be the Tee swap.

    Kelly isn't anything special

He might not be all world - wouldn’t pretend to know. But I didn’t get the sense he was a castoff either.

I agree that Johnson looks like the guy on his way out, but maybe Kelly isn’t getting the love he wants especially with an extra guy on staff.

Maybe. He turned down the Maryland DC job. I assumed that meant he had a better opportunity somewhere else.

True. I guess the timing of it all just makes me want to question it.

I’d call Matt Guerrieri at Duke and ask him how much he wants to coach safeties. One of the top young coaches in the country.

Fair did a better job with CBs than Kelly with Safeties. Fair can probably take all DBs, leaving a spot open for Pittman assuming Johnson is also out.

There wasn’t a lot there to work with on safeties, though. I know Fair had two freshmen, but it seems they might both be pretty special.

Kelly had a baseball player, a caveman, and a one-legger.

Abernathy and Nigel not much to work with as far as natural ability to track and catch a ball. I think Pruitt may have played TKjr due to it being his last football games ever.

Don’t think we have the space do we?

I forgot about Abernathy. He was ok. The best we had, which is pretty bad.

He seemed to be more concerned about having a perfectly groomed beard than anything

And if the CBs weren't good we could say he had a 3* true freshman, a converted WR and nothing else. But he didn't fail because he's a good coach.

I'm guessing as a DB guy, Pruitt made his pick and it's Fair.

Outside of those two freshmen they weren’t very good.

I don’t know much about Kelly, but he’s been doing it a long time and has even been a coordinator before. I’d think he’s probably decent. Wouldn’t write him off because he can’t teach Warrior to play.
