NFL actually full of upstanding citizens

Does the NFL, and do athletes in general, get a bad rap for bad behavior?

public life vs anonymous private life. When some nutjob NFL player hits his wife, it is plastered on the news 24/7. When your joe average nutjob hits his wife, no one knows.

I don't think the NFL has a reputation of being full of thugs and what not. At least I don't see the NFL that way.

 

i'm going to guess it's not twice the rate of guys their age making $500K+ a year though.
