' Seems to be some smoke around his kid. A&M commit, sounds like he maybe ready to walk on them. He's an EE from the sounds of it. So a final decision is looming.
It will be interesting to see how many Jucos we take. I know Dooley needs to win next year, but I don't like the prospects of taking a bunch of players that will only be here two years. I hope we only take 4 to 5 Jucos at most, and they shouldn't waste their time with them if they will not be an EE.
Haha, Beecher. "The final decision will be final." I nominate you our recruiting guru. Seriously though, good info.
I don't mind it as long as they are immediate impact players. We have young talent coming in too but they're 18 year old kids where these guys are 20-21 year olds who've got a couple years of S&C. I think we're seeing more JUCO right now here because we need the size and experience to help build quality depth.
I don't think there's anything wrong with having a few on the team. I don't want an entire team stocked with JUCO players, but in our current state it's understandable to get as many good players as we can.
Its gone final. Nice proof reading on my part. Need a secretary. Had to fix that. That is my final answer.
JUCOs fill gaps in attrition and bad classes. We got both. Take a couple more years to get out of that trend. I hope.
Jacobs tweeted earlier today that "in 5 days, I will be going to Texas A&M or Tennessee." He is an early enrollee. I don't have a problem with grabbing JUCO players as long as they're the real deal. With the spot we're in, we can't afford to miss on a JUCO player.
He has already committed IMO...just giving him his moment...all Vol unless something drastic changes... It is all pie in the sky but if Dooley gets half of the guys we are heavy on right now we will be about 5-6 in final ranking...I want this one and the Perkins kid real bad...
