Rumors in Memphis that Pearl may hire the father of Dedrick & KJ Lawson, both top recruits in the next two classes. Dad has been their HS coach, but it came out a little over a week ago that the two Lawson brothers, one of which is committed to Memphis iirc, would be transferring to Arlington Country Day in FL. Dad has also stepped down as the coach. I believe the younger brother is the better one. They also have a brother that is a 7th or 8th grader that may be ben better. Parrish did an article on the family 2-3 months ago if someone wants to look for it.... Thought it was interesting fodder for the board.
Least surprising thing, ever, IMO. He's already got other assistants to carry the heavy load for him, like Steven, his son.
I saw him at the SEC tourney. He did appear to be in very good shape. He also appeared to be somewhat angry.
