Interesting decision on his part

 

I can understand it. Once you've been the head man, you don't really want to go back to being an assistant

 

It still makes you wonder why he didn't do a tv gig and then become a retread.

 

He just doesn't seem like a TV kind of guy. If you know what I mean.



And hell, he is probably going to make 1.5 million + to coach at Youngstown. Hell, if I could make decent bank there, I would never leave.

 

Exactly. It's not like he did a bad job at Nebraska. There would have been a lot of schools wanting him after next season.

 

Jerry Dinardo is on tv.

Someone would pay him to be a straight talking mouth piece.

Jokes aside, I still stand by my last statement, though. You don't have to have a top 5 job anymore to make great money.

 

It isn't like he can't leave after one year at Youngstown, if the right job opens up.

Reports are saying he will make $225,000 a year.

 

He loves football and he'll be in full command.

 

Maybe I'm naive, I can't imagine Youngstown was the only head coaching option.

 

So does he get the balance of the Nebraska buyout minus the Youngstown salary? If so, seems like a cool way to spend a few years making millions coaching your alma mater.

 

Makes even more sense being his alma mater. Coaching at that level seems like it could be more enjoyable in some ways.
