    Even at this stage in his career? Could he possibly do it at a third place (fourth if you consider what he did at Michigan State)?

    Yes, but I do think he'd struggle at first due to the Texas attitude problem. NFL scouts claim the majority leave Austin entitled brats. I don't know if that's a Texas high school problem (playing in front of 10's of thousands and being treated like royalty) or a Mack Brown problem, but it definitely exists. Look how many Texas players flop at the next level.

    Even if he didn't win a NC, the first 3 years of his tenure would produce record ticket and merchandise sales

    The similarities between Mack Brown and Phil Fulmer, especially towards the end, are friggin scary they are so similar.
