Call it part 2, or whatever you want. Check to see if there is a thread regarding your topic already open, and if not either post here or start a new thread.

He’s making Marsha Blackburn seem like a huge upgrade at this point

I'm guessing 75% of Tennesseans are against his voucher bill. And that number may be too low. Yet he's gonna hold NE TN hostage to pass it it seems.

You have a super majority, money, pressuring people through a special session and you are still struggling to get votes for the voucher bill. Seems like the people have spoken.

The idea of school vouchers seems great but I can't talk myself into liking it.

I built my house based on the school system my kids were going to. I'm fortunate to be able to do that. Now, the school system they're in has heavy parent involvement, kids test great and it's a good experience.

I would rather parents get involved than voucher out

It is like private prisons. It just doesn't work. Look at how the Charter School system has [uck fay]ed a lot of kids and bleed the government.

Great idea in theory. We've yet to figure out a way to implement it properly. This is no different.

And same - we live where we live because of schools.

I like the idea of me being in charge of a charter school.

Obviously that’s because you’re a dangerous, cultural elitist.

It's an education subsidy for wealthy who are going to use the vouchers and private schools will then pump-up tuition. Few poor kids are going to be able to afford even half or whatever is left of the tuition not covered by the voucher. Unless, of course, you are good at football, then they'll get all they need.

Which thread can I put in the position Trump's floating of ending income tax in favor of tariffs supporting government is a really, really bad idea?

It sounds good, and I'd like to have lower taxes like anyone, but the reality is not such a positive.

    Has it ever been done?

Yes, the first few decades of our government, when the world was very very very different.
