I think zero sum may have alluded to this in the Preston Williams thread, but this is just great http://www.saturdaydownsouth.com/auburn-football/tennessee-commit-asked-leave-early-auburn-visit/
Gotta love the spin AU fans are putting on this. As if they'd ask him to leave for smoking weed had they thought there was any chance he flips.
Kind of a douche move that could become an extremely annoying precedent. Still, it was Auburn. I'm cool with it.
I don't get what the faux pas is. Auburn has invited a prospect who has verbally committed to another school. He's committed. It is on them if something like this occurs.
This happens all the time. Not necessarily wearing the gear of another school but certainly recruiting people to join you. Just seems like this time it got a lot of press.
Tebow did the same damn thing, as I recall. I don't remember anyone calling it classless then. gods, SEC fans are such tools.
If you are Auburn fan, it feels like a douche move. If your are Tennesee fan, it's like hell yea. Finally. It's all about perspective
I'm sure the reaction would be the same if the roles were reversed and an Auburn commit agreed to come to UT and showed up dressed in all Auburn gear, talked only about Auburn and recruited for Auburn. I'm sure Gerald Jones could be mentioned if I cared enough about this. But **** Auburn.
