I don’t know if he’s great. I don’t yet believe that I know enough to call him terrible, either. And so far, he’s handled some things incredibly well, and others very poorly....as anyone should expect a young coach in his first head gig to do.

Expectations are fine, so long as they are reasonable.

It’s inexcusable that he lost to GA St., by any standard. But his overall task at hand is much tougher, or perhaps more complex, than it seems. That’s my only conclusive point.

I do have slightly more difficulty overlooking the complete cluster[uck fay] that was gsu or the mental retardation that cost us byu than you seem to have when making my evaluation, but I'm with you in everything else.

 

A dumbass play by a CB shouldn't have mattered against BYU because a QB that isn't a dumbass makes enough plays to have a double digit lead midway through the 3rd quarter. The GSU game was inexcusable, but there's a lot of terrible play at the QB's feet in that one too. He's handicapped by one of the worst QBs to ever wear orange and white here.

Now, the complete implosion against UF last year and the straight up quitting against Vandy are on him. GSU, while having extremely shitty QB play, is still 100% on the staff. I'm not out on him yet, but he's got to start winning.
