We stereotype states, but it's 60-40 or less pretty much everywhere on all major things. Not 100% show up to vote, everywhere.

"Accidentally?" Wouldn't it be more likely it was on purpose? Perhaps because it is illegal to knowingly assist your client lie and this gives them cover that they did not withhold evidence?

With some of the stuff they have said/done, there is no doubt in my mind that this could be a 100% screw up.

They were ordered to turn over all texts on the subject. Had they withheld them, that would have been improper. So are we saying they intended to defy the order and withhold evidence?

Also, can we look at his texts leading up to and on Jan 6?

Because lies can be more easily accepted and comforting than the truth sometimes.

There is a big bad villain somewhere doing all the things we don't like or conflict with our view of the world. It isn't chaos and we are never really wrong.

I enjoyed the parts today where they played his comments from his show talking about the jury (they don't know what planet they are on) and the Judge linking her to human trafficking and pedophilia.

Did he play dumb like that isn't what he meant or who he was talking about?

With his latest political stunt, DeSantis further cements the idea he should have no place on the national stage. The way he utilizes power to attack those who criticize him and his policies is very disturbing. Today, he removed a twice elected DA in Tampa because the DA opposed recent laws on abortion and transgendered people. Now, there actually haven't been any cases in which pertain to those laws which have arisen, yet. However, the DA went public with his intent and you don't dare challenge DeSantis in public. We are in the age of shitty retributive populist narcissists in charge of things and the governor had to make a public spectacle to keep the dissent mute.

Don't even get me started on what they are doing with education in that god forsaken state, especially those 3 day civics "camps".

Still gonna cruise to re-election. Most Floridians love Ron, especially with how he handled Covid in his state.

A little more than half approve. Regardless, the point was he needs to stay out of the national stage. Shitty state deserves a shitty leader. Keep him in that garbage place.

Dude is gonna be on the national stage in politics whether progressives like it or not. His presidential run is inevitable. Whether he can actually win the presidency or not is another question, but ultimately it won’t shock me if he is POTUS one day. Is what it is.

The days of awful right wing populism having sway on the national level and within the GOP won't last forever. If we do continue on the path of absolute power seekers like DeSantis coming from the GOP for these positions, then we have a serious concern on the shelf life for a lot of things in this country. He's going to run, yes, but I don't see how this type of authoritarianism can sustain itself on the national level.

Then again, the CPAC is giving standing ovations to an Eastern European dictator who just said he didn't want a "mixed race" country. So, perhaps we are headed down this road. But, it will be very ugly.
