Better question: How many different SEC coaches would have us sitting at 7-1 or 8-0 if they were coaching this same team?

I don't think Butch should be ahead of him, but before you start comparing head to head records, remember Lyle's record against Spurrier.
Cannot stop laughing at Malzahn #4.... That guy is awful. Him and Lyle are foot racing to be the worst in the league considering the talent they have... If I were Muschump I'd have my agent on speed dial.
The first time against USC, USC played by far their worst game of the year. Last year USCe had already established a reputation of blowing leads in the 4th. Very avg team
Eh, no. This year has been bad, and there are some really concerning things about Malzahn, but he's still already accomplished more than Butch ever will.
I tend to agree. He's went to the seccg as an oc, turned Arkansas State around and has an sec title and a NC appearance. I don't think he's a great hc, but his resume is light years better than Butch
The reason most Auburn fans I know aren't totally panicking is that we've seen Gus be one of the best coaches in CFB. We don't know if he's lost whatever made him so successful at coaching offense. We do know, however, that Butch will never be a good coach.
As an unbiased guy, Malzahn's best year was a product of some of the most unbelievably lucky plays in football history.
