Tennessee recruited him fairly hard didn't they?

Hell, he's free to UT this season. Hopefully he'll get a waiver and rush for 1,000 yards this season!

You're right. Let's hold a punny protest to his signing! Just us picketing!

Can he play this year because he's not going to be on scholarship, or does he still have to sit out a year?

can't play this year if he played last year unless he got a hardship or used that graduate school loop hole.

He's petitioning the NCAA for an immediate-eligibility waiver, but I doubt he'll get it. "Family issues" is kind of a difficult sell when your family lives in Charlotte and you're in Knoxville.

Knoxville, TN is closer to Charlotte, NC than the University of Maryland is.

The difference is 2 1/2 hours.

its still like a 4 hour drive or more - they won't buy that when he could've gone some where within an hour or 2.

He's an easy morning drive away from home versus an all day 10 hour + drive. He has a case.

    limpleg He gone. No, really.

Who on here is usually most accurate with eligibility info?
We desperately need an rb. Neal just won't cut it. I'd take any other BCS team's 3rd string rb right now if we could get them.

justingroves tends to be accurate on stuff like this when he chimes in. But he has said on more than one occasion that there is really no rhyme or reason to whether eligibility is granted or not, I believe. So we will just have to wait and see I guess.

He is actually a pretty good back. Knows how to find the endzone pretty well.

Even if he isn't eligible to play, is he eligible to practice as a walk-on?

Just thinking if you have a choice between a JUCO RB to build depth and a guy who's been developing in a BCS program for a few years, what's your best bet.
