    Sad day.

The game of golf as we know it owed him a great debt. He changed the game.

Sad news for sure. I'm more upset about Jose Fernandez personally but by all accounts Arnold was a great guy but he had a hell of a run. Jose had just begun.

Arnold Palmer was class. A man for all professional athletes to emulate. Rest well.

I do not think any one person impacted their sport to the extent Palmer did the game of golf. He opened the game up to the Joe Lunchbox crowd, brought excitement, charisma and likability that appealed to even non golfers.

    He was one of "us."

I loved how he had told multiple people his goal was to look everyone in the eye that asked for his autograph, and also made sure to write his name legibly each time for them. A true champion. And someone that understood the people that followed him and also his place in the history of the game.

Rainbow over Latrobe yesterday after they flew his remains over the airfield one last time. Nice ending.
