Do it. Reduce defense spending to balance out the spending increase.

Spending more money makes me nervous especially for something we know can never get cut after it passes.

I like child poverty being a spotlight issue, hopefully something good gets done.

UBI is almost a certainty, this is a step towards it.

I'm starting to warm up to this as a much more practical solution than our current welfare system.

I think a lot of people don't want to hear this, but it is coming and will be an utter necessity.

You have to cute the current welfare system to make UBI work.

I don't think that will happen so both will be a cluster.

UBI with no wage laws or getting knocked for working would be interesting, if you cut the other stuff

Does this mean I gets more money if I have a whole bunch of kids? Because I'm totally not willing to do that. My time is worth way more than $350 a month to raise a kid until 6, and only $250 a month for a teenager.

The problem with ubi is it won't replace anything. Will just be added on top, which makes no sense if a ubi is supposed to allow people to do the things they need assistance for now.
