I would too for that kind of money. What I’m curious about is the extent to which he knows what he’s walking into. It ain’t zero percent and it ain’t 100 percent, but I bet it’s closer to zero. Bama overvalues their importance and undervalues Saban’s. I think the SEC needs a new darling. I just hope it’s us.
My money is on the SEC being Wild West shoot outs in the streets for a little while. Nobody can fill the void that Saban’s leaving plus Texas and OU coming in just adds to it.
Tech has more D1 prospects within 30 miles of their campus than Washington probably does within 500 miles of theirs, to be fair.
Favorite for sure. Kirby may be King right now but NIL is making life harder for him just the same way it did for Saban. He will not be able to maintain the talent level he enjoyed for a few years there.
