Read this over at the old place.
    Some interesting numbers from that.

UT and USCe has the same number of 4 and 5* with 33.
UT won 21 games with that group while USCe won 42.

LSU has 17 less than UF but won 14 more games.
LSU also has 17 less than Bama but is only 2 games behind in wins.

-Dooley sucked at a high level in recruiting and coaching
-Spurrier is doing more with what he has than anybody else
-Muschamp can recruit but is just slightly above Dooley after that
-Miles (while quirky) does well with what he gets
-Cheesit should give Gus half of his buyout

The big tell would be attrition/contribution of the 4&5 stars signed. Ours has to be the worst which would indicate that not all 4&5 star signees are the same.

Recruiting is middle of the conference over that span.

    More wins than only UK.

    Yeah. Suck.

You're being to generous to Dooley.

It is hard to be wrong about that many players. Their failure lies at the feet of UT's pathetic leadership on and off the field. Nobody has done less with more than UT.

11 for Mizzu is unbelievable. Washington state recruits better than that

4 years is a decent enough sample size to get some decent understanding tho.

Not that it was ground breaking in any way but it shows that Dooley couldn't recruit with top tier or beat the middle and back of the pack with similar or better talent.

It also shows that while the Jimmies and Joes are highly important the best are seperated by the guy calling the shots.

No arguments from me and no defense of Dooley. In fact the huge attrition and lack of development all lies totally with Dooley's failures.
