SEC Announces Format Change To Baseball Tournament > SEC > NEWS 10 teams will now go to Hoover. Will begin on Tuesday instead of Wednesday. Double elimination Tuesday - Friday. Once down to 4 teams, becomes single elimination. I like it, although it will become more interesting to see how managers use their pitching staffs with an added day. Edit - I also bet it will be up to 12 teams in the near future as well.
I don't like the format. Much like I don't like the format of almost any other NCAA sanctioned event. 4-8 teams, that is all. I know it means less revenue. But I'm thinking like a fan, not a businessman.
