Hypothetically speaking, if online sports betting were now legal in Tennessee and someone, hypothetically speaking, wanted to download an app that would allow them to place bets on games, what would be the best option? I fully expect Tenacious PJ to swoop in after a months long sabbatical and delete this post, so answer quickly.
Now that it’s legal in Tennessee, feels to me like a betting thread should be allowed. I use FanDuel.
it's a Google thing, not a state law thing. I don't know if the line is being crossed so long as specific contests and such are not discussed.
Bump... My wife wants to put money on MTSU to beat bammer. Any recommended sportsbook for me to throw away hard earned cash?
The MGM site/app is easy to both navigate and set up a new account. When you sign up your first 100-250 dollars (I forget exactly what the $ amount was) bet with them are fully refunded by MGM in the event your bet doesn't cash.
My response when she declared her intention was that I could take the money, invest it in Reddi Wip, squirt it up my butthole, and get more out of it in the long run.
If you want to gamble, tell her you placed the bet but don't. When MTSU inevitably loses, she'll forget about it but y'all won't have lost a dime.
That's ultimately what I'm going to do except I'm just not going to bring it up again. She might, might remember and ask me between now and then, but it's doubtful. A funny part...She had just finished lecturing our daughter about responsible betting and said she wanted to put $100 on MTSU. My daughter even made fun of that pivot. My wife argued and even brought up the Appy St, Michigan game, but I finally negotiated down to $20.
That is a weird argument. Does she realize that the only reason anyone remembers that game is because of how unlikely the outcome was historically? Like, it actually undermines her case. She should be arguing about why MTSU actually has some edge on Alabama this year, not reinforcing how rare this kind of upset is...
