We host a few friends each year for the Super Bowl. The best part are the food and drinks. What do you make? Alcohol: Bells Hopslam (released annually during this time of year). Firefly Vodka Appetizers: Meatballs (grape jelly and sweet chile sauce in a crockpot) Swiss and Bacon Dip with Horseradish Pigs in a Blanket using Nathan's. The kids love these. I use 12 oz. heinz chili and any grape jelly. Add the jelly and chile sauce first until the jelly is melted and mixture is smooth with occasional stir. Add frozen meatballs and simmer for 3 hours. Simple but very tasty.
Grilled duck/goose breast wrapped in bacon with a little bit of cream cheese and a slice of jalapeno. Artichoke dip that my wife makes Sam Adams or Yazoo Dos Perros

That is my favorite breakfast casserole, because it doesn't have eggs in it. I recommend Purnells "Old Folks" smokehouse sausage. Will make a bulldog break his chain. My suggestion: 16 oz light sour cream 1 package of Hidden Valley Ranch dip mix 1/4 cup of the salsa of your choice Mix thoroughly Try it….will love.
This is less of an appetizer, but still very much appropriate for football watching. One of my favorite recipes: http://denvergreenchili.com/colorado-green-chili/ I usually ditch the tomatoes, because I don't think they add much. And I use hot canned green chiles, because I can't find them fresh in North Carolina. Just finding them hot is hard enough. Mild ones are all over the place, but I have to go to Harris Teeter if I want any heat.
homemade onion dip is a staple of my household. I usually make chile of some variety. last year bison chili, but this year I think we are just ordering pizza.
