    Big East can't be surprised. With the shakeup in the Big 12, this seems like an obvious move.

    There's been a powerful faction in the Big East, led by Georgetown and St. John's, that has wanted to break off from the BCS football schools in the league for some time. At this rate, they can just sit back and it'll get done for them.

    Not sure how TCU fits in with any BCS conference, academically. They're going to have to step it up.
