he was until he played. there were people out there who thought he should have been starting over ainge
I always felt bad for him. He came in under Sanders, had to have his shoulder rebuilt and redshirted, then was lost under Cutcliffe ("I should just throw it Meachem, right coach?"), Clawson's offense wasn't friendly to his skills and then had one season where the coaches finally figured out what he could do well. 5 years, 4 coordinators and he wasn't the brightest bulb in the box.
My only thing with Foster was his his ability to fumble at the most inopportune times. Other than that I had nothing against him.
My only gripe is that they put "TENNESSEE" over the numbers. It reminds me of Texas and I hate Texas.
I heard when Cutcliffe was there, he would cut up the film for the QBs and put it on a DVD. Cut realized that Crompton looked lost in the film room, so started leaving his DVD blank. When Crompton would show up for meetings, Cut would ask him if he watched the DVD, and Crompton answered "Yes." Cutcliffe did that all year, and Crompton never said a word about it being blank.
