I can't look at that combo without thinking 83 Bama and 91 Notre Dame!

Ah yes, the era which birthed the term 'Cromptonite'. He didn't see very much love.

The backup QB is often the most popular player on the team among fans.

I always felt bad for him. He came in under Sanders, had to have his shoulder rebuilt and redshirted, then was lost under Cutcliffe ("I should just throw it Meachem, right coach?"), Clawson's offense wasn't friendly to his skills and then had one season where the coaches finally figured out what he could do well.

5 years, 4 coordinators and he wasn't the brightest bulb in the box.

    Shouldn't leave out Foster either.

I really like Crompton. He improved more in 1 year than some QBs have in 4.

My only thing with Foster was his his ability to fumble at the most inopportune times. Other than that I had nothing against him.

Adidas tried to make the numbers look like the checkerboard with two tones of orange.

My only gripe is that they put "TENNESSEE" over the numbers. It reminds me of Texas and I hate Texas.

It's because of us they're not putting "MEXICO" above their numbers.

I heard when Cutcliffe was there, he would cut up the film for the QBs and put it on a DVD. Cut realized that Crompton looked lost in the film room, so started leaving his DVD blank. When Crompton would show up for meetings, Cut would ask him if he watched the DVD, and Crompton answered "Yes." Cutcliffe did that all year, and Crompton never said a word about it being blank.
