Cause having some guy who runs the local Regions bank branch Monday-Friday call it works really well.

How about just full time officials, that work directly for the NCAA?

Why cant they do that by creating a pipeline of former players who didn’t go pro?

I just think former players would see more and anticipate better. Like the DT penalty. Player never would call that bs and it turned the game.

Should be in Nashville or Atlanta, anyway.

I don't disagree. When I first read it I imagined an old tight end that got dumptrucked in college holding a grudge. But yes, there must be a better way. And as I've mentioned before - either make replay work to accurately call the entire game or scrap the whole thing. Games are dragging out and momentum is slowed with the stupid system they have in play now to review plays. Plus it is letting refs get lazy.

The refs are using it as a crutch and that pisses me off.

UGA was especially terrible. Toss the flag every other play, watch the video and make a determination.

Do away with conference-specific officials. Have centralized officials. They also need to have NO affiliation with the NCAA.

There is too much money at stake for conferences and the 'AA to adjudicate games fairly.

Agree with this and also, I believe they are starting to enjoy the TV air time they're getting.
Targeting is really a good rule that's gotten out of hand.
What's the difference with this and taking a knee to the head when the results can be the same.
We might as well start playing flag football.

This makes too much sense and takes power away from the 'AA and the conferences. Zero chance it ever happens.

How many TDs can they try to give them?

    "Are all y'all blind?"

I was happy to see him get a little red at the officials.
