The DTG&B Prime Rib Special Postgame Report.

1. That is probably the best November performance of Cuonzo Martin's tenure. The Vols were all business today.
2. Getting out of the Bahamas with two wins was essential. The record stands about where I expected it to be right now.
3. Jarnell Stokes was fantastic today. He owned the area within five feet of the basket.
4. The most impressive part of the performance was the first five minutes of the second half. UT came out and beat the hope out of Wake Forest.
5. Jordan McRae didn't have one of his better days. The fact UT won handily without a big performance from him is encouraging.
6. The freshmen looked solid again today. If they make normal progress in the off season, the dropoff next year won't be near as bad as feared.
7. Wake looked atrocious. They were terrible in every facet of the game.
8. Josh Richardson made an absolutely awful play picking up a flagrant foul at the end of the first half. Wake's ineptitude bailed him out.
9. Miss North Carolina is stunningly awesome. UT should agree to fly her in for the NC State.
10. Barring a complete meltdown next Saturday, UT will head into Wichita in two weeks sitting at 6-2. That will be a huge opportunity.

 

More importantly, how's the prime rib?

On #8, it's at least possible Bert might be biased but he didn't think Richardson made contact with the guy.

 

Yeah radio guys were pretty shocked at the flagrant call.

 

I didn't think he did either. He swung, but if he made contact, he barley, barely, barely made it. Even the defender didn't act like contact was made. If your nose even gets grazed by an elbow, you react.

 

There was zero reason to rip through and even give the official the opportunity. Dumb play, regardless of the accuracy of the call.
