    1. The ironically named Shelby Huskey got things going with a "New Country" version of the Anthem. The crowd approved.
    2. That is the best passing Tennessee has exhibited under Cuonzo Martin. They found the open man far more often than not.
    3. Tennessee controlled the boards. That indicates a proper level of focus.
    4. Darius Thompson is going to be a defensive force as he develops physically. He's not overly quick, but his anticipation is top flight.
    5. This team is much, much better playing four perimeter players. I hope the coaching staff comes to grips with that.
    6. Jeronne Maymon is slowing rounding into form. He's looked better each time out.
    7. Robert Hubbs knows how to get his numbers. He made sure he got his share late.
    8. Armani Moore saved some folks some money with that last offensive rebound. 21 was just enough tonight.
    9. Jarnell Stokes stat lines look good, but he's still not at the level UT needs. He has to be more decisive with the ball.
    10. Things get serious Thanksgiving night. This team desperately needs at least two wins in the Bahamas.

Thompson has been one of the most impressive parts of this short season, so far. He has done everything expected and more

Randy Smith's commentary is absolutely painful. He screws up names so often that he makes Kesling look like Ward.

Darius Thompson will play a more important part on this season's team than Robert Hubbs will.

Well, yeah, because he's at a position with only one other experienced player.

McRae, Richardson and Moore can all play that 2/3 spot.

Hat, how does the loss look now in the context of these first 4 games? Were we just slow out of the gate? Finding our rhythm? Or are the problems still there just waiting for the opponents that can expose them?

X is beating teams pretty badly right now. Granted, they're not tournament teams, but Xavier was no slouch. Iowa will be their next big test.
