I'm trying every way imaginable to make myself believe we have a chance Saturday. The most likely way is for "Chief" to look at the most obvious defensive gameplan (going lock down man on our receivers and blitz like hell every play) and decide not to do it, as we are used to seeing.

Hence this thread. Let's rekindle those memories of the Mustang package that still cause nightmares and make you wake up crying. When all you could do is put your head and your hands and wonder why, oh why were the safeties playing 25 yards off the ball on 3rd and 8.

My favorite? Gotta go with the 01 SEC title game. He to this day hasn't figured out what LSU was going to do when they went empty backfield two tight ends.

    Yours?

While we're talking '01, let's go with the hobnail boot. David Greene made 40 seconds look like an eternity as he shredded Chief's unit.

I'll take the second half of the 1995 Tennessee-Florida game for 200, Alex.

That was aided by a squib kick IIRC

01' SECCG is hard to beat, that team was loaded.

What about the first half of the 96 game?

Peyton got blamed too severely those two years given the defensive issues in those games.

Edit: He deserved some of it, no doubt.
