Heupel needed to hire some assistants who can recruit, and he has. He’s also going to need to show on the field that his offense is genuinely fun on the field. Which should be doable, but is yet to be done.

 

Garner is a huge hire that hopefully stays here until he retires. Elarbee is top notch, Burns is a good recruiter and Golesh and Hazle are well liked by high school coaches.

 

It's almost like there is a huge difference between supporting a guy who has proven himself post-hire and signing off on a prospective hire.
