I don't hate this idea. it would be the ultimate dunk. just a brief, "a round of applause for Vanderbilt's seniors," and give them more applause in two seconds than they got all of their senior day.
So what will happen with the seniors? They doing a quick halftime thing like last year, or will they run through the T solo and hug Jeremy?
The Athletic released their full 130 rankings today. I think they tend to overrate mid-majors a bit (for instance, they have Georgia State ahead of Missouri, Mississippi State, and South Carolina), but it’s certainly not a totally idiotic ranking or anything. Of the 10 FBS teams we’ve played, the worst in their rankings is #71 UAB. Vandy is #115.
Apparently Brandon Kennedy is declining to participate in senior day activities and is planning to return for a sixth season. Guess they’re confident that the ncaa will grant him another season.
I noticed that the “V A N D Y” looked off, but didn’t realize that the had to use the cheerleaders and flag guard to make the “V”. How in the [uck fay] do you have band members not show up?! Not that anyone worried about them in recruiting before, but this picture will kill them for a long, long time.
Is this the stadium for Mayberry R.F.D.? Andy Only those of a certain age will get this reference...cough, cough, ok boomer.
Vandy: 20 TN: 10 Vandy is going to take away the deep balls, and make TN beat them running the football. Tennessee won’t be able to run on Vandy, even despite having more blockers than defenders at the line, will eventually get frustrated and chuck it deep, throwing 2 INT’s and suffering 4-5 sacks. Vandy’s defense is going to score once and their offense is going to grind out 10-14 points, controlling the clock. The longer the game is close, the more the pressure and panic will mount for Tennessee, and they’ll make critical mistakes in forcing the issue and ultimately tank this game.
