The undefeated Vols welcoming the sabanites into Neyland under the letters will make an awesome tv shot, as we smite them.
As I recall, Tennessee was thumping them pretty good early last year, but the offense just wasn't capitalizing early. Not until a change was made but by then it was too late. The defense was gassed.
I think we'll be surprised how good this team will look compared to last year. Pitt is what they are, our guys are still climbing the learning curve.
Pitt had the badass qb but we shoulda had 21 pts in the 1st quarter. Schemed em up and had Wrs wide open. Different ballgame if we make those plays early as no way they outscore us from there. They woulda been shell shocked too.
"So many points left on the field", that's all I kept saying after that game. I've got to think barring injuries, this year will be totally different.
Then Pitt put up 28 iir in 2nd quarter. At the end of first I had a bad feeling as it felt like those misses zapped the team and stadium. We also had 3 turnovers and gave up 4th down conversions and probably 50% 3rd downs, many with him scrambling which we never got fixed all year. Should’ve been a 56-35 gameish
Btw Pitt wr who transferred to USC is complaining that he was promised some things that haven’t happened. Probably a big payday by NIL if I had to guess and he hasn’t received anything yet.
