The most positive way I spin Heupel is

1) Recruiting probably wasn't gonna be elite with punishments anyway. Maybe you establish an identity of a more wide open offense and get some playmakers in the program?

2) You weather the next couple of years with offensive identity. Maybe those Missouri years are a decent comp?

Well. If it's Heupel, see y'all again in 3-5 years. Maybe he can give us a good base to build from.

 

But they did score a lot of points this year so “figured out” is strong.

 

I think he will recruit worse than anyone since ...who was before Neyland?

Again, at this point, if you were down to Heupel it's absurd. Because Kiffin and Chadwell would crawl here. But even take them out you STILL IMO should go get any of these guys over Heupel that I think would come:

Lance Leipold
Jeff Monken
Tom Herman
Will Healy
Matt Entz
