It’s the same shit every time. 4 completely awful hires in a row. We are paying this [unt cay] 4 million and buying him out for 3.75 million. You don’t even contact Chadwell.
I don’t see how White can honestly face the team and media with a straight face and stand by this hire.
No other school in the SEC self-reports 50 major violations. What coach who knows that this is what you do to compete in the SEC would come here?
UT could have hired any schmuck posting on VN at minimum wage and they could have made this hire and we made a guy one of the highest paid ADs in the country to do it?
I guess this is what happens when you suck for 10 years and then nuke your own program from the inside. Not sure what you guys expected.
I honestly think getting caught by the NCAA would have been less damaging because we are now the program that is institutionally committed to integrity (ie not winning)
You forgot to mention that we’ve been an administrative shit show for 15 years and are staring down the barrel of as yet undetermined ncaa sanctions. yeah I guess they should’ve done better than this but idk if even the hires we would’ve been comparatively happy with are sure things
Fire every0ne. Why did we just pay this AD 2 million? Why? We could have taken their coach ourselves.
Look at this bullshit: WHO'S first thought? Danny's?! Not ANYONE in the fan base/alumni community that I saw. Not ONE. This is some revisionist PR bullshit, can't believe it was said. The first thought far and wide was Lane Kiffin. [uck fay]ing liars.
The sports talk guys are slobbing on his knob for having the number 2 offense in the country. Going 6-4 with the number 2 offense in the country is a red flag, no?
At the very least, I hope White reached out and had a conversation with Chadwell, warmed up the relationship and laid the foundation to revisit in a few years when this thing opens up again. We’ve burned bridges with guys who’ve wanted this job in the past, and missed on the opportunity to revisit those discussions. Chadwell is still the type who could be a home run in 2025, and may still view this as his dream job.
