I would be totally floored if DeBord and Sunseri have similar careers here when all is said and done. Just don't think the hire matters that much because our offense, for good or (mostly) ill, is down to Butch, and no one person or thing has proven capable of changing that (two seasons of Worley sandpapered-braille option is exhibit A).

I said OC because Sunseri was so bad in hindsight that it's a knee jerk reaction to compare them. I think their resumes aren't that far apart.



The search was similar to Phil's nationwide search that landed Cutcliff, but this guy is not on the same level as Cut.

 

I assume Butch's mother has passed away or he would have hired her as OC.

At least debord has been a coordinator I suppose.

 

I beleive there was interest though Sanford may have passed as he did OSU, OR St, and VU. Regardless, if what Jones is professing (BSIA) is true at the very least there should have been an interview. I believe the Helton interview to be smoke and mirrors and that debord was his one and only candidate all along
