Our oldest has had CCL surgeries on both hind legs. He's 13 now and has been on daily Galliprant a couple years now. It works and makes a huge difference. It's $4 per pill, but also worth it.

 

Yep, exactly what happened with Stewie. As he's grown older he's had some issues with inflammation, thus need for meds.

 

Hopefully it an be knocked out with massive amounts of fluids. That's what we're hoping anyway.

 

And nope.

Girl spent last night at emergency vet to keep eye on her and keep fluids in her. I’m picking her up at 7 to take her to our normal vet for surgery.

 

Suck.

funny enough they took the cone off of her last night. Sitting in the car waiting for vet to call us in right now.

We have a cat lady out here. Watched our dog chase one of her monster-sized cats up a tree and then beagle-bay at it like he had treed a mountain lion.

Pup is fine. Much like her normal self today. Is getting angry that we can’t feed her the normal amount and have to space out small feedings for a few days.

However she’s having a hard time grasping how the cone works when she’s walking.

 

Yeaaaaah. One of mine would walk around with it, eventually hit a wall and then just freeze. It was both hilarious and sad at the same time

The other quickly realized that while he was wearing the cone we felt bad enough to let him sleep on the bed (where he usually isn’t allowed because he likes to start fights with his brother at 3am when he isn’t coned) and I’m convinced he would wear it 12 hours a day just to get that privilege

 

Be mindful that if she did this sock eating once, she'll eat weird stuff again-- at least for awhile. Dogs who do this can often be repeat offenders.

 

Oh, she has and will. I have no doubt.
