I get what that song is doing there, just never been a fan. But perhaps in that specific instance it is the case that I'm just being anti artist there. I bet "I'm Gonna Miss Her" would have landed 10x better had someone like Toby Keith cut that song instead.

The other songs I list though aren't even debatable. They are all disgustingly bad attempts at country music.

I start to post, then I remember that I have shoes older than Ole_Orange.

Wasn’t really a Toby Keith fan but you get some beers in me and Should’ve been a Cowboy hits just right

Can't forget about the classic LL Cool J and Brad Paisely Confederate Flag ode or whatever the hell this is too. Brad Paisely is so meh as a country artist in general.

Brad Paisley is legitimately a very good guitarist but aside from being trash country pop almost all of his songs sound the exact same.

Also, maybe if someone else had written it, they would have gotten first shot at it.

He's a legitimate good person who brought Little Jimmie Dickens back around but I never really liked his music

Los Angeles has influenced country music since the 80's hair band managers started working with Garth Brooks

She is an incredible talent too. Agreed it's strange how it is like she is not remembered the same way as some of her contemporaries are despite all of her massive success and talent. She did her thing in the 90s

I try to compartmentalize shortcomings like that with his music career. But yea, a Knoxville born guy raised within East TN culture willingly rocking colors that aren't Tennessee orange is really bizarre and indefensible behavior.

Saw her live at a festival back around 2000. She was great. Great voice, good songs, and she put out a pretty good bluegrass album.
