Looking at it, I misspelled it. I hate it when my brain goes faster than I can type. I really do know how to spell Chickamauga.

It's actually a by-product of the neurological delays due to my MS. You just made fun of a cripple. You should be proud. Ass hole....

I couldn't tell you which one was a better general, but one of them actually took over the whole known world. I'll take him.

Alexander was undefeated, Hannibal got handled by Scipio, who was no slouch in his own right. Gotta say Alexander, though Hannibal is more compelling to me personally. Cannae was perfection.

I tend to agree with you.

Every military commander since has craved the battle of annihilation.

Hannibal may not have an equal on the strategic level, but he lacked the political side of war.

I think this is where Alexander gets the nod.

Turns out Hannibal's elephants were a tiny subspecies that was smaller than an Asian elephant. Not a whole lot bigger than a large horse. Given that, his ultimate failure makes more sense.

IMO Hannibal just didn't have enough True Carthaginians on his side. Bunch of NegaCarthaginians sending carrier pigeons and letters and writing on bulletin boards demanding he be fired, how was he supposed to assemble talent? Not his fault.

Cutting his supplies off and not directly engaging him was a brilliant move by Fabius.

Scary how Hannibal and Lee mirror each other. Or how the wars mirror each other.
