Worst thing that happens is someone mistakes the cigar in your pocket for public indecency and you become a registered sex offender. So nothing to lose.
I just meant those that do may end up feeling like a real clowns if we get beat down. I would like nothing more to smoke a victory cigar in Neyland Saturday but I don’t think I have the confidence.
It's how 99.99% of us are. And as much fun as I was having, I sat there up 30-7 thinking of every possible way we could blow that game.
I didn’t chill until 37-7, and even then, I got briefly nervous again before we stopped the two-point conversion. Seen too much.
It was definitely well into the 3rd, whatever the score, before I was confident we would win. Which is preposterous. I used to think we had it any time we went up 2 scores. Been burned too many times now. Also, I suppose the game itself has changed to where 2 scores just doesn't mean as much as it did in the days with bigger hits.
When LSU fumbled the opening kickoff I immediately flashed back to last year’s Pitt game, where we blocked a punt on the first series and rolled up a double-digit lead and blew it in a quarter.
