I was 8, but…my Dad (now a Vol fan) grew up cheering for UDub, so I didn’t have years of history on me. First Bama game I watched was ‘95.
I was 6 months old for my first Bama win. You all should have considered not being born as you all are clearly bad luck.
I was born in Ft. Lauderdale and didn't move to TN until 1979 (I was 10). And in south Florida in 1970s, no-one and I mean NO-ONE cared about college football. It was all NFL baby. When we moved to Knoxville, I was shocked at how shitty the NFL coverage was in the newspaper and on Sundays you had whole sections devoted to college football. Then, 1982 happened. I saw how rabid the fans were, I saw how they tore down the goalposts and carried them down the Strip. And I was hooked. So while my first technical win against bama was when I was 1 (I was born two weeks after the win in 1969) in 1970, my first *real* win was 1982 when I was 12 (again, two weeks from 13).
I guess my first win was when I was 2, but the first one to register didn't happen until I was 15*. *-Unless you count the vacated 93 tie as a win.
the whole Burton situation looks worse from this video. He engages with about 3 male fans before getting to the endzone. Then it looks like he throws down a female fan right before the other situation where he slaps another woman which is getting all the attention.
When I talk about it, it is a tie. When I am quoting you the all time series record, it is definitely a win.
