I'm strictly talking about the next 5 games.

Chryst seems to do better pre snap and getting the ball out when time is short. He may not throw the deep ball as well but your QB cant miss blitzes that result in turnovers. I think JG is fine behind a good line that provides time consistently. We dont have that.

This is how I see it too. Cut down on the stupid game changing mistakes like giving the opposition the ball in the red zone and such and we can win any game left on the schedule.

JG had better physical tools, Chryst is better between the ears. He didn't look awful today at all.

Props to Gitmo but I feel better about Chryst running the offense.

Chryst is older, more PT/experience in college, and undoubted has received better coaching than Guarantano prior to this season so it makes sense that he has a better grasp on the mental aspect of the position.

We scored on his first 2 drives, didn’t we? I thought he looked solid. Was Bama’s first team D still in?

    Agree on Chryst pre-snap.

Still think we need to play Hall and Richmond at tackle and move Trey back to guard. Just don’t know how many snaps a game you can get out of Hall.

I think line play matters a whole lot more than who is playing QB. If they play well, every game left is winnable with either QB. If they play poorly, it doesnt matter who is playing QB, it's gonna be a rough November.

Snell has been taken out of the Vandy UK game.

Load up on Snell and spy the QB.

    UK has a solid D

To be fair, Bama’s 2nd team probably starts at a lot of places.

Hell, the scrubs they had in on the last five probably starts at 80% of schools in FBS.

Which is something I’ll never understand... if I’m a hot shit HS player who could start at 80% of the other schools in the country, why TF would I go to Tuscaloosa Alabama and sit on the bench for 2-1/2 or 3 years? I get wanting to win championships and all but shit... playing time would be more important to me.

    Agree in general.

A good QB can save you a some sacks and turnovers by reading blitzes on the front end and either shifting the blocks or getting off the ball. JG seems to struggle too much for this OLs ability. Having said that, that is the last big time D well face. USC and UK are pretty good but not what we ve faced the last 3 games.
