I'm starting to wonder if maybe this is him - https://www.911memorial.org/blog/remembering-wtc-window-washer-roko-camaj
Yep. Loved his job up there and and life. Called his wife after first plane struck. Said he was going to head down. That was the last time they spoke.
Didn't realize it, but I actually did know someone that worked in the WTC. He was one of the ones that was thankfully late to work that day. This is what his brother put on FB last night - I was worried about my brother on 9/11. He was late to work that day to the WTC. I had helped him move in to his NYC apartment on Labor Day weekend before. It was noon before I knew he was alive... he sent an email from a buddy’s computer saying he was leaving NYC and going to Connecticut and caught the last train out of town. If he hadn’t of let us know he was alive, I had planned on driving up to NYC to find him.... somehow....
I started reading the book he released 2 days ago. Its an extensive oral history of 9 11. I am 80 pages in and it is just fantastic. So many little things I never thought about. I highly recommend.
