Which one of those programs just launched an internal investigation to dig up 50 violations so they could fire their coach with cause and avoid an 8 figure buy out? What kind of proven coach would want to leave their current situation to walk into this shit show? There’s more to it than money.
How do you think Bama got to be Bama? Nobody thinks UT had a shot at hiring a legitimate GOAT candidate. But a guy to get you back to 10 wins? Very doable
Three questions I want asked in the presser 1. Did you contact any Sexton clients? 2. Do you not feel there are some conflict of interests in using a search firm and buying out a contract you wrote? 3. What evidence can you give the average Tennessee fan that this is a good hire other than the standard new hire mumbo jumbo when all evidence on the field says otherwise?
Let me guess... not one of these questions will be asked, and if by some miracle they are asked they won’t be answered.
In my fantasy world, 1 gets passed from press member to press member until it's answered. I expect him to decline to answer that one in particular.
But, we also make all of his OTHER clients rich by getting them raises every time we have a coaching search.
So who is everyone else fans of going forward? For now I'll go with Iowa State, Navy, Army, and Coastal Carolina.
