I was yelling at the moments when their center took a knee complaining that they couldn’t hear, it was wonderful!
Also, kudos to the video board operator. I bet they showed the face mask and the hit on Byrd at least a dozen times each. Petty to the max. It got to the point where I was concerned that we’d start throwing things on the field.
There’s a story going around that somewhere in Neyland that two gamecock fans got in a fight with each other. It true, that’s pretty funny!
I believe that to be true. Two fans were escorted out in cuffs, and walked right by me as I waited in line for a beer by Y8 edit: It was probably X5. I was close to gate 21, now that I think about it.
The new Apple Watch has the ability to measure sound intensity. A fan posted a picture of his watch measuring the crowd noise. 110 dB
That's the equivalent of a sonic boom. If that sound level was generated under the ocean, it would require a "take" permit for the potential damage and effect on whales. I'm not saying it wasn't that loud, I'm just like, "shit that is loud."
I always thought they should be a decibel meter on the Jumbotron.... Let the fans know how loud they are. Maybe show the all time high and high for the game as well.
I don’t have a meter to gage to measure it but it approached the level of a few years ago against Oklahoma. When their center goes to one knee before a play complaining that they can’t hear, it’s loud.
